CHANDLER — Hubert Edwards, 88, died June 6, 2006, at Chandler Nursing Center. Graveside services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at Prairie Valley Cemetery in Lone Oak under the direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home. The son of Brad and Cynthia Edwards, he was born March 30, 1918, in Simpsonville. Mr. Edwards was a self-employed handyman. He was a member of Prairie Valley Baptist Church. A sister, Ethel Austin of Chandler, survives. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Leo Edwards, Elvin Edwards and Earl Edwards; and two sisters, Ruby Herring and Pearl Sims. Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
