Inez Flodell Ashford Talley, 94, of Greenville, died Tuesday at a Garland hospital. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Friday at Westview United Methodist Church with Rev. Brian Bosworth officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery in Commerce. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Peters Funeral Home.
She was born April 25, 1912, daughter of Virgil O. and Zadie Flowers Ashford in Hunt County. On Dec. 24, 1930, she married Luther Paul Talley in Hugo, Okla.
She was an excellent seamstress and made uniforms for the Flash team. She was a member of Westview United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Claudia Imogene Talley Jenkins of Garland; a sister, Gladys Bearden of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Jimmy Dale Jenkins and wife Stacy of Merit and Ricky Jenkins and wife Martha of Farmersville; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two brothers, Thelbert and Samuel Ashford.
Ricky Jenkins, Jimmy Jenkins, Kevin Jenkins, Bruce Hammons and Charles Smedley will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Sunday School class at Westview United Methodist Church.
Memorials may be made to the Westview United Methodist Church.
