Janie Morquecho Rodriguez
Janie Rodriguez, 63, of Greenville died July 2, 2007, at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 7, 2007, at Saint William's Catholic Church under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Father Paul Weinberger will officiate. There will be a rosary at 10:30 AM Saturday at the church.
Born January 17, 1944, in Harlingen, she was the daughter of Crispin and Juanita Morales Morquecho. She was married to Modesto Rodriguez on February 6, 1965, in Greenville. Mrs. Rodriguez took care of children in her home. She was a member of Saint William's Catholic Church, Legion of Mary, and Saint William Women's Guild.
Surviving are her husband of Greenville and formerly of Celeste; a son and daughter-in-law, Joel Michael Rodriguez and Jennifer Rodriguez of Austin; daughters Mary Grace Rodriguez of Austin, Marcia Rodriguez of Dallas, and Misti Rodriguez of San Diego, California; brothers Heginio Morquecho of Copperas Cove, Robert Morquecho of Fort Worth, and Crispin Morquecho, Jr., of Greenville; two sisters, Refugia (Cuca) Escobal of Lipan and Mary Lou Nava of Fort Worth; two grandsons, Lucas Rodriguez and Max Rodriguez of Austin; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Joel Anthony Rodriguez; her parents; and a brother, Louis Morquecho.
Memorials may be sent to Saint William's Catholic Church.
