J. Connie Hollis
J. C. (Connie) Hollis, 66, of Leonard, passed away on Friday, April 16, 1982, at a Greenville hospital.
Funeral service was held on Sunday, April 18, 1982, at the Leonard Church of Christ with burial at the Trenton Cemetery.
He was born on October 31, 1915, in Blue Ridge. Mr. Hollis was minister for the Gober Church of Christ and had served many other churches in the area, including Celeste. He was also an accountant for Henington Publishing Company in Wolfe City.
He is the son of John F. Hollis and Ada Davis Hollis. He was married to Lucille Dickson on November 11, 1937, in Trenton.
Survivors are his wife, Lucille; a son, Don Kenneth Hollis of Longmont, Colorado; a daughter, Nell Marie Hollis of Leonard; a brother C. B. Hollis of Paris; and sisters, Mrs. Mary Smoot, Net McCarley, and Lois Johns of Blue Ridge, Edith Morgan of Paris, Willie Blair of Dallas, and Eloise Bern of San Antonio.
Pallbearers were J. W. Morgan, Johnny Hollis, Woodley McCarley, Troy Lee McCarley, Keith Kemp, Monty Kemp, Bobby Moats, and Buddy Smith.
Fielder-Baker Funeral Home of Blue Ridge was in charge of the arrangements.
