CADDO MILLS — Jeannette Ann Herrin, 71, of Caddo Mills died Feb. 13, 2007, in Plano. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Rentfrow Funeral Home chapel with Larry Davis officiating. Burial will be in Paradise Cemetery in Caddo Mills.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Daughter of Morris and Mildred Schmidt Gray, she was born Sept. 30, 1935, in Indianapolis, Ind. She graduated from Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis and moved to the Dallas area in 1969. In the 1960s and ‘70s she was a professional telephone operator and receptionist who, when employed at EDS, assisted with the communication and rescue operations in Iran.

In 1982 she was married to Lyndal Ray Herrin in Reno, Nev. In the 1980s she and her husband started and operated an antique stripping and antique business called Professional Strippers, and in later years she painted unique crafts. Mrs. Herrin was an avid painter whose talent showed in the eyes and detail of her creations. Her love and interests also extended to all her pets and animals. She was a homemaker. Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, she will be missed, but her spirit will always be in our hearts.

Survivors include her husband of 24 years of Caddo Mills; two sons, Steven Wand and family of York, Pa., and Bryan Wand and family of Wylie; three sisters, Carol Burnett of Quincy, Ind., Kathryn Holike of Indianapolis, Ind., and Terri Adams of Kremming, Colo.; two brothers, David Gray of Jacksonville, Fla., and Bud Gray, residing in Australia; her mother, Mildred Shields of Indianapolis, Ind.; and five grandchildren aging from 5 to 16 years of age.
