Jeffrey Dwayne Vittetoe, 48, of Greenville died the night of Oct. 3, 2006, in Greenville. Funeral services are scheduled at 2 p.m. today at Cross Trails Cowboy Church in Fairlie under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Jeff Bishop officiating. Burial follows in Jacobia Cemetery. Mr. Vittetoe was born Nov. 25, 1957, in Greenville, son of Myers and Eloise J. Jeffreys Vittetoe. He married Gina M. Jones on Feb. 27, 1981, in Greenville. He graduated from Greenville High School in 1976. Mr. Vittetoe was a farmer and partner of Vittetoe Cotton Gin in Jacobia and was a member of Cross Trails Cowboy Church. He was a loving husband, father and son. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him. Surviving are his wife of Greenville; his parents of Greenville; a daughter, Casey Vittetoe of Greenville, son Brody Vittetoe of Greenville, sister and brother-in-law Maureen and John Lankford of Wolfe City; brother-in-law Keith Jones of Commerce; a sister-in-law, Lisa Gentry of Bonham, his father and mother-in-law, Butch and Linda Jones of Campbell; nieces Devon and Wrynn Lankford of Wolfe City, Jessica and Molly Jones of Commerce; a nephew and wife, Blake and Jackie Lankford of Wolfe City; and great-nephews Logan and Cash Lankford of Wolfe City. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Stacey Vittetoe in 1981, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Jeffreys and Eual and Odessa Vittetoe. Pallbearers will be Randy Leggett, Paul Scott, Charles “Bull” Scott, Scott Gray, John Lankford, Bill McAlpine, Keith Jones, and Chris Fleming. Honorary pallbearers will be O.G. Bow. Troy Wallace, Levi Sasser and Greg Robinson.
