Funeral services for JoAnn Goodwin, 50, of Lone Oak, were held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at the United Methodist Church of Lone Oak with Rev. Wade Lindstrom officiating. Burial was in Prairie Valley Cemetery. Pallbearers were Justin Derrington, Justin Overly, Joey Weatherbee, Monte Weatherbee, Cameron Carrell, Jon Foster, Alex Addy, Paul Brown and Josh Letke. Mrs. Goodwin died Wednesday Oct. 12, 2005, at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. She was born in Longmont, Colo., June 3, 1955, to Kenneth Goodwin and Arlene Caston. She married John Lindsey Nov 22, 1998 in Lone Oak. She was a nurse and a member of the United Methodist Church of Lone Oak. She is survived by her husband, John Lindsey of Lone Oak; sons and daughters-in-law, Dusty and Becky Goodwin of Lone Oak, and Bubba and Keri Goodwin of Greenville; grandchildren, Georganna Goodwin and Nicholas Goodwin of Lone Oak, and Reagan Huggins and Rylan Goodwin of Greenville; sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Andy Addy of Paris; and a son of a special friend, Jon Foster of Lone Oak. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Douglas Newland. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church of Lone Oak or the Lone Oak Library. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
