LONE OAK — Funeral services for Joe Ben Crabtree, 74, of Lone Oak, are scheduled for Tuesday, March 20, 2007, with Robert Cook and Dennis Erwin officiating. Burial is in Hooker Cemetery.
Mr. Crabtree died March 16, 2007, at Baylor Hospital of Dallas.
He was born July 31, 1932, in Rains County, Texas, the son of John Arthur and Lillie Pearl Weatherford Crabtree. He married Shirley Ervin April 17, 1935, in East Tawakoni.
He was a Baptist and retired from TI.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ervin Crabtree of Lone Oak; one son, Dumpsey Ray Crabtree and wife, Rhonda, of Mesquite; three daughters, Vickie Lamb of Mesquite, Renee Sanborn of Plano and Gloria Hill and husband, Tom, of Arlington and two sisters, Mary Pearl Land and husband, Rubert, of Lone Oak and Pauline Moore of Lone Oak.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Archie Ray Crabtree and one sister, Alene Suits.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Bartley Funeral Home Lone Oak, which is in charge of arrangements.
