Juaneace (J.J.) Shields, 86, of Greenville died 9:45 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006, at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. today at Memoryland Memorial Park with Rev. Paul Gould officiating. Services are under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Jeff Stanford, Mark Mullins, Don Kesler and Gary Dooley. Shields was born March 16, 1920, in Wood County, Texas to William H. Dickey and Tishey McMullen. She was married Feb. 1, 1974, to Wallace Shields in Greenville. She retired after 23 years working for the City of Greenville as a municipal court clerk. She belonged to First United Methodist Church of Caddo Mills, graduated from Greenville High School and attended East Texas State University. Survivors include a niece, Judy Dickey Higginbothan and husband Bobby of Greenville; and a great-niece, Shelby Breann Higginbothan of Greenville. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers.
