Mr. Julius M. “Shorty” Andrews, 84 of Greenville died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006, at a local nursing home. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2006, in the Peters Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Joel Arnold officiating and burial to follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Julius was born to parents J.M. Andrews Sr. and Ida Morgan Andrews on Dec.14,1921. He married Jacqueline Landruth on June 24, 1944, in Ardmore Okla. Julius served is country in the United States Air Force and was a retired employee of the mail service industry. He had a great love for reading and wood working. Mr. Andrews is survived by a brother Olan Andrews of Greenville, six grandchildren, Randy Andrews of Irving, Sean Andrews of Houston, Jeffery Andrews of California, Aubrey Andrews, Preston Andrews, and Blake Andrews all of Indiana, several nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Jacqueline, and a son, Marty Andrews. Peters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
