Kate Duff Patterson
Mrs. Kate Duff Patterson, 91, who made her home with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Ross, RR 4, Greenville, died at 3:15 PM, Sunday in Park Haven Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.
Born in Celeste on July 27, 1875, she lived in Hunt County all her life and resided in Greenville since 1940. She was the daughter of J. R. Duff and Mary Frances Bone Duff. She was married to Sam Patterson in Greenville in 1889. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM, February 6, 1967, in the Coker-Mathews-Peters Chapel, with the Rev. Gen Welburn and the Rev. Bob Layman officiating. Burial will be in Donalton Cemetery near Lone Oak. Grandson will serve as pallbearers.
She is survived by five sons, Bob Patterson, Tommy Patterson, and Frank Patterson, all of Greenville; Lonnie Patterson, Mabank, Bill Patterson, Dallas; one daughter, Mrs. Sam Ross, Greenville; one brother, Frank Duff, Quinton, Oklahoma; twenty-two grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Her husband, two sons, Clyde Patterson and Glen Patterson, preceded her in death. One other son and two daughters died in infancy.
