Ken Burks, 57, of Greenville died May 16, 2006, at his residence. Ken was born Jan. 25, 1949, in Greenville, son of Bernice and Carl Burks. He had worked at Reames Market in Cash with his wife Debbie for the last several years and was a retired auto mechanic for Rhodes Automotive. Ken was a member of New Beginnings Fellowship Baptist Church of Sulphur Springs. He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Debbie Burks of Greenville; sons Charles Marzek, Jason Beaver, Edward Beaver, Jeremy Griffin and Bryan Gann, all of Greenville; a niece, Christie Darlin of Greenville; grandchildren Tristion Marzek, Trenton Marzek, Brandon Gann, Drew Gann, and Chasen Beaver. He was preceded in death by his parents and his mother- and father-in-law, Mack and Gladys Watson. A funeral service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Friday at Lynch Funeral Service chapel with Larry Jordan and Mike Simpson officiating. Interment will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Mike Currin, Craig Currin, Charles Marzek, Thomas Minner, Oscar Thomas, Carl Beaver, Trozy Darlin, and Bryan Gann. Honorary pallbearers are Jason Beaver, Jeremy Griffin and Edward Beaver.
