Born March 3, 1970, in Commerce, he was the son of Freddie Joe Ketner and Peggy Sue Sands Ketner.
Gene liked working with his hands, enjoyed working on cars and being outdoors, cooking out and fishing. He enjoyed going to the car races and just hanging out, especially with his cousins Kim and Tony.
He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed spending time with the ones he loved. He loved to draw and was a perfectionist when it came to working on his trucks. Gene would do anything to help others, all they had to do was ask.
