Nancy E. Watson Lacy
Mrs. Nancy E. Watson Lacy, 73, of Celeste , widow of Dave Lacy, longtime Leonard resident, died Saturday morning, May 1, 1954, in a Greenville hospital.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 2, 1954, at the Wilson Funeral Home in Leonard with the Rev. James Heflin, pastor of the Leonard Baptist Church officiating. Burial was in the Leonard Cemetery.
A native of Tennessee, Mrs. Lacy was born on April 16, 1881, the daughter of B. F. Watson and Ardelia Miller Watson. She was married to Dave Lacy on December 30, 1900 and they resided near Leonard until Mr. Lacy's death in 1942. She had made her home in Celeste for the past five years.
Surviving are two sons, Eura Lacy, Celeste, and Elmer Lacy, Leonard; two sisters, Mrs. S. O. Bement, Leonard, and Mrs. J. M. Lacy, Caddo, Oklahoma; one brother, B. F. Watson, of California; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
