Lawanda Johnson, 84, of Greenville died June 29, 2006, at a local nursing home. Graveside services are at 10 a.m. today at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Caddo Mills. Peters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born on March 6, 1922, daughter of Elbert F. and Rheata Cannon Allen. She married Roy Edward Johnson in 1952 in Greenville. Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pat and James Handley of Campbell; a son and daughter-in-law, Don and Janet Johnson of Greenville; grandchildren Lynne and Paul Divita of Rockwall, Jeff and Alison Handley of Fort Worth, and Melanie D’Ann Johnson of Arkansas; great-grandchildren Tricia and Nicole Divita of Rockwall; a nephew, Allen and Char Crittenden of Billings, Mont.; and a niece, Mary Nell Bottoroff of Oregon. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1983; and a sister, Margia Allen Ellis.
