Mrs. L. E. Fugitt Died Tuesday at Wolfe City
Mrs. L. E. Fugitt, aged eighty-two years and for
the past forty-five years a resident of Hunt County, died at her home at
Wolfe City Tuesday morning, May 21, 1929.
The Fugitt family came to this state from Mississippi,
settling on the farm near Hickory Creek.
Since retiring from active farm operations, the
family had lived in Wolfe City.
Deceased had been a member of the Methodist Church
since girlhood and through the years had lived a devout life.
Her husband preceded her in death, but she is survived
by the following children: John Fugitt, Dallas; Fred Fugitt, Chicago,
Illinois; Joe Fugitt of this city; Mrs. Roxie Park, Durant, Oklahoma; Mrs.
W. R. Kirkland, Cameron; Mrs. Mattie Webb, Dallas, and Mrs. C. O. Young,
Hickory Creek. One brother, A. V. Gatteys of this city, a sister,
Mrs. J. W. Shelton, Wolfe City, and a sister at El Paso and one at Abilene
also survive.
Burial in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Wednesday, May
22, 1929, funeral conducted by Rev. Strother, Rev. Eley, and Rev. J. B.
Gober.
