LEONARD — Graveside services for Lela Mozelle Burnett, 89, of Celeste are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Celeste Cemetery with Thomas A. Willess officiating. She died Nov. 19, 2006, at Greencrest Manor in Greenville.
The daughter of Joseph Edgar and Ethel Beatrice Wyatt Wade, she was born Nov. 4, 1917, in Yantis. On Feb. 5, 1939, she was married to Newell Atkinson Burnett.
Mrs. Burnett was a member of First Baptist Church of Celeste and was a seamstress for Shirey’s Children’s Factory. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia McCorstin of Garland and Linda Causey, Brenda Chennault and Glenda Burnett, all of Celeste; a sister, Mary Alene Gibson of Celeste; six grandchildren, Lynn, Lisa, Lori, Amanda, Charisse and Joshua; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild, Tristan Paul.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Taylor Funeral Home of Leonard
