Samantha Anna Lemons
Samantha Anna Lemons, sixty-two year old widow, died suddenly on July 23, 1940, in Celeste, Hunt County, Texas, where she had resided for sixty years. She was born August 15, 1871, in Spring City, Tennessee. Her father was J. P. Monroe who was born near Richmond, Virginia. Her mother, Lorinda Jane Lemons was born in Rhey County, Tennessee. John Lemons, Celeste, Texas, was the informant. Burial took place at Mount Carmel in Celeste on July 23, 1940, with J. D. Bickham of Celeste, undertakers. Dr. J. C. Trentham of Celeste was attending physician.
