Leroy “Buster” Wright, 81, of Greenville passed away on May 31, 2006, at Presbyterian Hospital. He was born Oct. 16, 1924, to Maurice and Anna Ward in Mount Pleasant. He married Margie Goynes on Jan. 7, 1959. Mr. Wright retired from the Greenville Independent School District. He is survived by his wife, Margie; a brother, Napoleon “Nappy” (Erma) Wright; sons Danny (Shirley) Goynes of Lawton, Okla., and Norris (Maggie) Goynes, Howard (Claudia) Wright and Johnny (Demetrice) Wright, all of Greenville; daughters Virginia (John) Reed of Texarkana, Opal Shepherd of Garland, Doris (Ernest) Randle of Lawton, Okla., Cynthia Wade of Dallas, Carolyn (Eddie) Davis, Millie (Marlon “Buck”) Edwards and Linda (MIchael) Collier of Greenville; 35 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a nephew, Vernon Wright of Grapevine; and other relatives.
His parents and a niece, Anna Grace Lane, preceded him in death. Graveside services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at Grundy Memorial Cemetery. Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Grace and Mercy Funeral Home.
