Lillian Owens, 96, of California, formerly of Greenville, died Sept. 30, 2006, in California. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Wesley Chapel CME Church in Greenville with Rev. Harold Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Grundy Memorial Park. Born May 9, 1910, in Louisiana, she was the daughter of Frank and Rose Morgan Johnson. She was a school teacher and was a member of Wesley Chapel CME Church in Greenville. Survivors are two sons, Donald Owens of Germany and Ernest Owens of California; one daughter, Fannie Fiddmont of Colorado; 11 grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Her parents preceded her in death. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. followd by a wake from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Cozine & Tarver Funeral Home of Greenville.
