WOLFE CITY — Loretah Wilson Powell, 82, of Gladewater, died Sept. 21, 2006, in Gladewater after a lengthy illness. Graveside services are at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City under the direction of Dr. Kevin Mitchell. The daughter of James Leonard and Mary Louise Hutson Wilson, she was born May 8, 1924, in Formosa, Ark. She married Clyde T. Powell Dec. 27, 1940, in Wolfe City. She was of the Baptist religion. She is survived by her daughter and husband, Alice and Gary Palmer of Las Vegas., Nev.; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Powell; two sisters, Mae McKee and Beulah Risner both of Fort Smith, Ark. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and one son, J.D. Powell. R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home of Wolfe City is in charge of arrangements.
