Mabel Lynn Byers Dotson
Celeste--Mrs. Mabel Lynn Byers Dotson of Celeste died at 7:45 PM Thursday at her home following a four-week illness.
Funeral arrangements are pending with Coker-Mathews-Peters Funeral Home.
Mrs. Dotson was born August 4, 1896, at Celeste, the daughter of Andrew Jackson Byers and Bettie Harbert Byers. She married John Dotson in 1929. He preceded her in death in 1955.
A resident of Celeste and Leonard all of her life, Mrs. Dotson was a member of the Celeste Church of Christ.
Survivors include three sisters, Miss Allegra Byers of Celeste, Mrs. Ruth Holmes of Fort Worth and Mrs. Irene Walker of Pharr, Texas; two brothers, Harbert Byers of Celeste and A. J. Byers, Yuma, Arizona. Her parents and a sister, Mrs. Mary Kates (should be Cates) preceded her in death.
