Margaret Polhemus Chaney
Seaside Heights--Margaret "Peg" (nee Polhemus) Chaney, 79, of Seaside Heights, New Jersey, died Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at home.
Born in Point Pleasant, she was a lifelong resident of Seaside Heights.
She was an RN with Point Pleasant and Paul Kimball hospitals
in Point Pleasant and Lakewood, and retired to be a stay-at-home mom.
She was involved with the Toys For Tots program in Seaside Heights.
She was a member of the Ocean County Baptist Church, Toms River, and Grace Evangelical Church, Seaside Heights.
Surviving are her husband, Malcom "Ray" Chaney; three sons, William Chaney of Cordova, Tennessee, James Chaney of Seaside Heights, New Jersey; and Ken Chaney of Forked River, New Jersey; a daughter, Carol Erickson of Forked River, New Jersey; a brother Sheriff William Polhemus of Seaside Heights, New Jersey; a sister, Mary Horner of Duck River, Tennessee; and six grandchildren, Doug, Deborah, Bill, Rebecca, Sarah, and Matthew.
A memorial service will be held at Grace Evangelical Church, Seaside Heights.
