Mary Van Cleave Luna
Mrs. Mary Van Cleave Luna, formerly of Kingston, and mother of Mrs. Frank Morris, 631 North Bishop, Dallas, died at 1:00 o'clock today, Thursday, August 6, 1942, at the home of her daughter.
The body will be brought to Greenville by Stringer and Sons this afternoon and will remain in the chapel until time for the funeral, which will probably be held sometime Friday.
Mrs. Luna had been a resident of this county for a number of years and moved to Dallas several months ago to be with her daughter after her health failed.
She was the mother of two children: a son, Leon Luna, who died several years ago, and Mrs. Frank Morris of Dallas, who survives. Surviving also are two grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Jim McNatt of Greenville, Mrs. Lila Rucker of Peniel, and Mrs. Alpha Steed of Kingston, and one brother, Val Dee Van Cleave of this city.

Last rites were observed at 2:00 PM, Friday, August 7, 1942, for Mrs. Mary Luna, 72, formerly of Kingston and mother of Mrs. Frank Morris of Dallas, who died Thursday*, August 6, 1942, at the Westbrooke Monroe Nursing Home** in Dallas. The body was brought here by Stringer Funeral Home on Thursday afternoon.
She was the daughter of the late George Van Cleave and Sarah Van Cleave and was born and reared in Hunt County.
Services were held at the Kingston Methodist Church with the Rev. Wesley V. Hite, pastor of Kavanaugh Methodist Church here in charge. Burial was in McWright Cemetery.
