Max O. Earle
Greenville Herald-Banner – Friday, March 21, 1958 – Max O. Earle, Route 1, Campbell, died at 12:05 a.m. Friday at his home. He had been ill since June 1957.
Born in Andersonville, S.C., August 21, 1881, Mr. Earle was the son of Elias John Earle and Eliza Jane McGregor Earle. He came to Texas at the age of four and located in Hopkins County. After two years in Hopkins County the family moved to Hunt County, where he had since resided.
He was a farmer and member of the Caney Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Caney Methodist Church. Rev. Leland Spurrier, Commerce will officiate. Burial will be in the Sullivan Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Elmer Gene Smith, Marvin Chaffin, Macon Green, James Vaughan, Ralph Vaughan and John Douglas.
Gray-Sorrells Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include one son, John Earle; one daughter, Mrs. Fred DeWees; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, E. J. Earle, Texoma, Oklahoma, and Kenneth Earles, Hayden, N. Mex; two sisters, Mrs. John Griggs, Goodwell, Okla, and Mrs. Lucy Jordan, Elmont, Calif., and other relatives.
