Charles S. McClure

Charles S. McClure, 44, a linotype operator for The Dallas Morning News and former publisher of The Celeste Courier, died in a Dallas hospital on Tuesday morning, July 21, after a heart attack. He lived at 3311 Princeton, Dallas.

A native of San Antonio, McClure had attended the University of Texas. He was a member of the Dallas Typographical Union, a Mason, and a deacon in the Highland Baptist Church. He had lived in Dallas, operating a typesetting machine for The News since 1945.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mary Frances McClure of Dallas; a brother, O. B. McClure of Mountain Home, Arkansas; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Omer of Houston and Mrs. Else Cook and Mrs. E. R. Coward, both of San Antonio; and mother, Mrs. Maude Mary McClure of San Antonio.
