Johnnie Whit McMackin
Funeral services for Johnnie Whit McMackin, 50, of 1202 Commerce Dr. will be at 2 p.m. today in Coker-Matthews-Peters Chapel with Rev. James Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park. Mr. McMackin died at 2:50 p.m. Monday in a Dallas hospital.
Born on July 27, ---- in West Point, Tenn., he was the son of Andrew and Quillar McMackin. He married Lucille Prentiss on Jan. 11, 1947 in Hillsboro. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lucille McMackin of Greenville; three sosn, Thomas and Stephen McMackin, both of Greenville and Michael McMackin, stationed in Georgia with the U.S. Marine Corps; two brothers, Roy McMackin of Tyler and Harvey McMackin of Cedar Hill; four sisters, Mary Anna Ellsworth and Mrs. Emma Lou Furlow, both of Dallas; Mrs. Virginia Fleming of Tennessee and Mrs. Mae Allison of Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew McMackin.
Pallbearers will be Don Toohey; Jerry Weatherby, Charles Smith, Gene Morphew, Frosty Erwin, and Tommy Ellsworth. Honorary pallbearers will be Arthur Prentiss, Eldon Neal, Leslie alt, Joe Bowen, Bob Kimberly and Henry Rix.
