Robert Moore
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 3, 1951, at Lamesa for Captain Robert Moore, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Moore of Durant, Oklahoma, former Celeste citizens.
Captain Moore, a pilot for the transport planes flying from Hawaii to Korea, was killed as result of enemy action in Korea on May 23, 1951.
Survivors include his wife and a son; his parents and two brothers, Ray Moore and Fred Moore. He is a nephew of Grady Evans of the White Rock community and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. B. E. Evans of Celeste.
Ralph Evans of Celeste and Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Evans of Winnsboro attended the funeral.
