Mrs. J. A. Glasscock
Celeste, Texas, March 28, 1950--Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Baptist Church here for Mrs. J. A. Glasscock, 67. She died in a Greenville hospital.
Mrs. Glasscock, born in Marshall, Tennessee, moved to Texas in 1900, the year of her marriage. Later, she returned to Tennessee and came back to Texas in 1920, and had lived near Celeste since.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Mr. G. B. Gibson of Apache, Oklahoma; Mrs. T. L. Brooks, of Greenville; Mrs. R. E. Harrison of Merit; four sons, C. P. Glasscock and C. B. Glasscock of Greenville, Frank Glasscock of Lone Oak, and James Glasscock of Sadler, Texas; ten grandchildren; three brothers, J. M. Powell of Dallas, Ransom Powell of Cornerville, Tennessee, and D. E. Powell of Louisburg, Tennessee; and a sister, Mrs. M. S. Bills of Tullahoma, Tennessee. (March 29, 1950, The Dallas Morning News) Submitted by Sarah Swindell
