Mrs. R. L. Bolton
Mrs. R. L. Bolton, pioneer resident of Hunt County, died at her home in Kingston, Monday afternoon, December 7, 1931, after a lingering illness of some two years duration.
Mrs. Bolton was born on June 20, 1849, in Wilson County, Tennessee, and came to Texas with her parents when she was fourteen years of age. She was married to D. E. Bolton on October 10, 1880 (?)*, and he preceded her in death in 1910 (?)*.
Early in life Mrs. Bolton professed faith in Christ and was united with the Baptist Church in which she labored consistently for the cause and followed conscientiously the teachings of the Master. She was honored and beloved by a host of friends who with the family will mourn her passing.
She is survived by the following children: Jim Bolton, San Antonio; Mrs. Mattie Cole, Celeste; Mrs. Eva Porter, Kingston; E. D. Bolton, Greenville; and Mrs. Pearl Ross, Seymour; one grandson, Dayton Porter, of Odessa, Texas; and also one sister, Mrs. N. E. Stout, of Sherman.
Funeral arrangements were not complete late Monday night awaiting the arrival of relatives from a distance. Services will be held sometime Wednesday afternoon, following with burial in Kingston Cemetery.
