Ralzie Parker Nicholson

Mrs. Luther S. Nichols, 69, who resided north of Greenville died at 8:22 AM, Saturday, January 8, 1955, at a Greenville hospital. She had been ill for only a few days.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 PM, Sunday, January 9, 1955, at the Gray-Sorrells Chapel conducted by Weldon Harless, Church of Christ minister at Kingston. Burial was in the McWright Cemetery.

Nephews were pallbearers.

Mrs. "Sallie" Nicholson, the former Ralzie Parker, was born on February 28, 1885, in Sardis, Henderson County, Tennessee, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell Parker. She came to Hunt County in 1900 and had since resided in and near Greenville.

She was a member of the Kingston Church of Christ.

She was married to Luther Samuel Nichols in the Kellogg community on September 13, 1906.

Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Clay Thomason, Celeste, and Ray Williams, Commerce; two grandchildren, Ray Williams, Jr., and Vern Williams Commerce; a sister, Mrs., Ike Lackey of Greenville; and three brothers, Jim Parker of Edcouch, Sid Parker of Round Rock, and Hobart Parker of Anton.
