Flora Roach Norris
Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 9, 1954, at the Wesley Methodist Church in Greenville for Mrs. Flora Norris, 77, widow of the late Leon Norris of Celeste who died Monday night, June 7, 1954, after suffering a heart attack last week.
Services were conducted by the Rev. Harrison Baker of Dallas and the Rev. Albert Click. Burial was in the Forest Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers were H. B. McGuire, Clarence McGuire, Bill Barnard, F. A. Boutwell, and J. M. McGuire.
Mrs. Norris, the former Flora L. Roach, was born on October 6, 1876, in Tennessee, the daughter of James Wilson and Ellen Phebe McGuire Roach. She was married to Leon Norris and they resided in Colorado for forty years, returning to Celeste several years ago to make their home. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Hattie McGregor, of Celeste and other relatives.
Her husband preceded her in death last April 20, 1954.
