Leon Norris
Leon Norris, 77, a native of Celeste and a member of one of that section's most prominent families died at 2:30 PM Tuesday, April 20, 1954, after an illness of several months duration.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, April 22, 1954, at the Gray-Sorrells Chapel in Greenville with Dr. Harrison Baker of Dallas officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.
A native of Celeste, Mr. Norris was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Norris, pioneer Hunt County couple. He was reared at Celeste and later was connected with the Railway Express Company for many years. For forty-three years, he made his home in Colorado Springs, Colorado returning to Celeste about a year and a half ago.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Flora L. Roach Norris, Celeste; a sister, Mrs. Beulah Barnard, Celeste; and other relatives.
