Olga Yarbrough Babb died Jan. 8, 2007, at a local nursing home. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Kavanaugh United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Goodwin and Rev. Ben Shinn officiating. Burial will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation is from 6 to 7 p.m. today at Peters Funeral Home.
She was born March 19, 1910, in Commerce, daughter of Rufus M. and Fannie Frey Yarbrough. She married John Everette Babb on No. 14, 1931, in Commerce.
She was a longtime member of Kavanaugh United Methodist Church, served on the Administrative Board, a Charter member of the Couples Class and was a member of the United Methodist Women and the Presbyterian Hospital Auxiliary for many years. She was retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (ASCS).
She is survived by her nieces, Bettye Sztamenits of Denton and Terri J. Burroughs and husband Mike of Marysville, Calif.; cousins, Jack and Barbara Yarbrough, Michael and Jessie Yarbrough, all of Little River, Sandra Carrell of Paris, and C.L. Yarbrough of Waco.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Whitley Yarbrough; and sisters, Oleta Stubblefield and Jimmie Trotter.
Family will serve as pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to Kavanaugh United Methodist Church in Greenville.
