Rebecca “Becky” Curts, 54, of Celeste died the morning of Aug. 20, 2006, at her residence. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Bobby Renfro officiating. Burial follows at Merit Cemetery. The daughter of Phil and Lakie Gibson Perkins, she was born May 9, 1952, in Farmersville. On Nov. 18, 1983, she was married to Harold Curts in Hunt County. Mrs. Curts was a senior executive secretary at L-3. She worked for E-Systems for 33 years, starting as an aircraft installer and working her way up to her present position. She was a member of Kingston Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband of Celeste; two sisters, Phyllis Spoonemore of Celeste and Sammie Griffis of Greenville; and a host of nieces and nephews. Her parents; a sister, Donna Perkins; and a niece, Charlene Daniels, preceded her in death. Pallbearers are Cody Spoonemore, Josh Spoonemore, Colt Griffis, Matt Ellis, Keith Brightwell and Greg Griffis.
