FARMERSVILLE — Robert Davis Burnett, 89, of Greenville died April 2, 2007, at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. A graveside service is scheduled at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Farmersville.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hurst’s Fielder-Baker Funeral Home in Farmersville.
Born Feb. 15, 1918, in Princeton, he was the son of William Henry and Mary Etta Johnson Burnett. He married Virginia Germedia on Oct. 18, 1971, in Angeles City, Philippines.
Mr. Burnett was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army. He was a mechanical supervisor for E-Systems. He was a Baptist and an avid horseman and rancher.
Surviving are his wife of Greenville; daughters Jaquita Bunch of Avery, Winnetta Morrow and husband Charles of Farmersville, LaGwenda Smith and husband Bruce of Garland, and Rowena Liford and husband Brian of Rainbow; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
