Robert Glasscock, 72, of Greenville died the afternoon of March 22, 2007, at Park Haven Nursing Center. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Sunday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Bill Shaddox officiating. Burial is in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Farmersville.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The son of Frank Allen and Ira Eunice Johnson Glasscock, he was born March 3, 1935, in Caddo Mills.
Mr. Glasscock was a service technician at Lumus Cotton Gin. He was a Methodist.
Surviving are a son, Randy Glasscock of Floyd; three sisters, Glenda Nell Rice of Emory, Joyce Leonard Coleman of Huntsville, Ala., and Shirley Glen Jones of Payne Spring; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father in April 1944; his mother, Ira Turner, on March 9, 2007; and his stepfather, Charley D. Turner.
Pallbearers are Jon Glasscock, Ryan Glasscock, Josh Linton, Roger Rector, Charles Ivy and Buck McDonald. Bubba Landrum and Jim Doan will be honorary pallbearers.
