Robert Hance Henderson Jr., 80, of Greenville died Jan. 8, 2007, at his home.
He was born Aug. 22, 1926, in Greenville, son of Robert and Velma Henderson. He proudly served his country during World War II in the U.S. Air Force as a pilot. He was a sergeant in the 1038th Air Materiel Squadron of the 6th Air Service Group.
Survivors are sons Wayne Henderson of Ohio, Jerry Henderson of Hurst, Steve Bell of Arlington, Eddie Bell and wife Karen of Greenville, Michael Bell of Greenville, Lee Henderson of Fort Worth and John Henderson and wife Andrea of Greenville; daughters Linda and husband Randy Wehrenberg of Minnesota and Cherilyn and Robert Kinney of Greenville; and grandchildren Shane, Kaleb and Jordan Henderson, Krista, Brittany and Robert Benners, J.T., Brandon and Brooke Henderson, Jake and Justin Wehrenberg, Brian Henderson, Crista Bell, Chad and wife Monica Bell, Shauna and husband Martin Nabors and Amber and Whitney Bell; and great-grandchildren Dylan, Kinzy and Kayla Bell and Jackson and Hudson Nabors.
His wife, Allie Mae “Mutt” Stevens Henderson, preceded him in death in 1986.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Lynch Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
