Ruby Falls Durham
Ruby Durham was born September 2, 1929, in Leesburg to the parentage of Rubien Falls and Pearlie Richmond Falls. She attended Douglas High School. Later in life she made her home in Greenville where she became a member of Wesley Chapel CME Church.
She died August 28, 2007, in Dallas.
She leaves to cherish her memories her sons, Tommy (Carolyn) Johnson and Tyrice (Vera) Johnson and Willie Durham; granddaughters Sharon White, Nicole Johnson, Twyla Johnson, Patrice Johnson, Kristi Johnson, and Arkeeyah Kristi Johnson and Kollanda Durham; grandsons Tommy Johnson, Jr., Osric Johnson, Patrick Johnson, and Brandon Johnson, and Aykiem Durham; sisters Mattie Freeman of Celeste and Doris Coleman, Jean Petty, Charlene Thomas, and Della Patton, all of Dallas; and brothers James Falls of Arizona and Vernon Falls and Sam Falls of Dallas.
Funeral services are at 1:00 PM, Saturday, September 1, 2007, at Saint John Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Harold Wright and Elder Howard Falls officiating. Burial will follow in Grundy Memorial Park.
Visitation is from 9:30 AM. to 7:30 PM, August 31, 2007, at Grace and Mercy (Grundy) Funeral Home.
