Garland Franklin (Mouse) Smith
Leonard--Funeral services for Garland Franklin (Mouse) Smith, a sixty-four year old Celeste resident, are scheduled at 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 8, 2008, in the chapel of Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Leonard with Charles Scarborough officiating. Burial will following the Celeste Cemetery.
Visitation is from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, Friday, March 7, 2008, at the funeral home.
Mr. Smith died March 4, 2008, at his residence.
Son of William Hartwell Smith and Vera Mae White Smith, he was born July 7, 1943, in Greenville. A former Celeste student, he was retired from the City of Greenville and was a member of the Celeste Church of Christ.
Mr. Smith is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Stephanie Loren and John Loren of Quanah and Peggy Kitts and Christopher Pitts of Point; his son, Jacob Smith of Greenville; a sister, Donna Tingle of Celeste; brothers, Melvin Smith of Allen and Herman Smith of Maude; and two grandsons, John Wayne Loren of Quanah and Kevin Aiden Smith of McKinney.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Susan Marie Smith; and a brother, Marvin Darrell Smith.
