S. T. Scarborough, a resident of Greenville, died Wednesday night at Citizens General Hospital. Graveside services will be held at Forest Park Cemetery Sunday at 2 p. m. with Rev. Melvin Pearce officiating.
Born in Hopkins County on Dec 31, 1907, He was the son of T. E. and Janie Bennett Scarborough. In 1953, he married Edith Counts in Las Vegas, Nev. Mr. Scarborough is a retired mechanic and a Baptist.
He is survived by his wife; one son, Charles Ray Scarborough of Venice, Calif.; one brother, Charlie Scarborough of Dallas; two sisters , Ruth Smith and Stella Wallace, both of Greenville; one grandchild; one great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
Services are under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
