Theda LaVerne Gasway passed away at her home in Greenville. She was born July 10, 1925 to Jackson and Maude Countryman. On Dec. 23, 1941 she married he late Narvel Gasway in Detroit, Tex. She was a member of Bible Fellowship Church of Greenville.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday in the Peters Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Paul Blue officiating. Burial will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park in Greenville. A time of visitation will be prior to the service from noon to 2 p.m. at the chapel.
Mrs. Gasway was survived by two daughters, Kathryn Scott and husband Robert of Greenville, and Bernice Carr and husband Mike of Greenville; four grandchildren, Tawnya Weems and husband Roger of Greenville, Jason Scott and wife Linda of Greenville, Angelia Carr of Greenville and Tobi Carr of Greenville; and two great-grandchildren, Dalton Weems of Greenville and Alison Scott of Greenville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and her son Gerald Dean Gasway.
