Thomas Virgil McDonald
Leonard--Thomas Virgil McDonald, 77, of Leonard, died Sunday at a Leonard nursing home.
Services will be at 2:30 PM, today, at Taylor Chapel with the Rev. Ted Eaton officiating. Burial will be in the Leonard Cemetery with nephews serving as pallbearers.
Born on July 31, 1899, in Leonard, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Monroe McDonald. He was married to Gertrude Neely on July 29, 1922, in Leonard. Mr. McDonald was a retired plumber and a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Gertrude McDonald of Leonard; a son, the Rev. Charles McDonald of Austin; three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Fowler of Leonard, Mrs. Kathryn Hodges of Dallas, and Mrs. Bettye Brown of Irving; a sister, Mrs. Ross Fuller of Strawn; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
