Victor Laray Heath died Sept. 8, 2006. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bethel A.M.E. Church, 2109 Wesley, with Rev. Warren Dennis and Rev. Gary Nelson officiating. Burial will be at Grundy Memorial Park. Son of Billy Ray and Dorothy Heath, he was born Oct. 25, 1965, in Greenville. He graduated from Greenville High School. Mr. Heath was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. Those cherishing his memories are the love of his life, Rita Johnson; his loving children, Amber Greer, Yauemora Denson and Daisha Carter of Greenville; his father and stepmother, Billy Ray and Retha Ann Heath; three sisters, Daphne (David) Jackson of Arlington, Cometria Heath (Thomas) of Greenville and Gigette Sullivan of Dallas; six brothers, Phillip Weatherall, Billy Ray Jr. (Tracy) Heath of Sherman, Rodrick Heath of Dallas, Robert (Crystal) Heath of Greenville, Byron ((Lucy) Heath of Oakland, Calif., and Marty Miller of Sulphur Springs; five grandchildren; a host of aunts; two uncles, Billy D. Heath and Al Weatherall; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother; his maternal and paternal grandparents; and uncles Charles Heath, Larry Heath, Glendale Weatherall and Mitch Weatherall. Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Grace & Mercy Funeral Home.
