Virgil Ray Horton
Virgil Ray Horton, 59, of Celeste died December 20, 2007, at his
home.
Funeral services are planned for 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 23, 2007, at
Kingston Baptist Church with Ronnie Hickey
officiating. Burial will follow at Hogeye-Celeste Cemetery in Celeste.
Visitation is from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, December 22, 2007, at Lynch
Funeral
Service.
Mr. Horton was born November 30, 1948, to David Woodson Horton and
Ola
Mae Greer Horton in Greenville. He was a member of Kingston Baptist
Church
and proudly served his country in the US Army. He was a retired
groundskeeper from Celeste ISD.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Horton; two sons, Daniel Lorenz
of
Montana and Byron Garcia of Celeste; daughters Lois Sasser of Celeste,
Margie Teague of Greenville, Tina Gillespie of Campbell and Rhonda
Riskey of
Celeste; brothers James Horton, Clifford Horton, Lloyd Horton, Paul
Horton,
Bobby Horton, Johnny Horton and Steve Horton; sisters Ruth Cook,
Barbara
Moody, and Mary Spradling; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Aubrey Horton and
Jack
Horton and sister Bertha Horton.
