Vonda May Roach Walker
Celeste--Services for Mrs. Vonda May Walker, 71, of Celeste, will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday, in the Celeste First Methodist Church, with the Rev. Gary Kincaid officiating. Burial will be in the Celeste Cemetery.
Mrs. Walker died Friday morning at 11:00 AM, April 2, 1976, in a Dallas hospital.
She was born on December 14, 1904, in Greenville to Felix Roach and May McDonald Roach. She was married to Anan Orville Walker on May 28, 1940, in Durant Oklahoma. A 1925 CHS graduate, she attended college in Commerce. She was a retired school teacher and nurse, having taught in Celeste in the late 1940's before completing her career in Dallas and she was a housewife. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Surviving are her son, Frank Walker, of Jacksonville, North Carolina; and three grandchildren, John Leland Walker, Christian William Walker, and Lori Lynn Walker.
