Stanley A. Walls
Stanley A. Walls, 74, of Merit, died June 9, 2008, at his home with his loving wife of 53 years at his side.
He was born March 9, 1934, in Campbell to Willie Reed and Mattie Lucille Henderson Walls. He married Nelda J. Tyler on June 4, 1955, in the First Baptist Church in Celeste.
Mr. Walls was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of TSAPI (Texas State Association of Plumbing Inspectors) and TRS with North Garland High School. Mr. Walls was a master plumber and building engineer.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, James A. Walls and wife Kimbrell of Garland and Ronnie D. Walls of Merit; a brother, Danny Walls and wife Wanda of Sherman; three grandsons, Lance Baker and Brandon and Chad Walls; one great-granddaughter, Brooklynn Baker; a sister-in-law, Wanda Engle of Garland; and special friend Terry Caffey.
Mr. Walls was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Billy Jack Walls; and three sisters, Dorthey Scarbrough, Jaunice Griffins and Opal Pippin.
A graveside service is planned at 10 a.m. Friday at Dulaney Cemetery in Merit.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Lynch Funeral Service in Greenville.
