Mrs. W. E. Lowery Died at White Rock
Mrs. W. E. Lowery, aged eighty-five years and for
many years a citizen of the White Rock community, died at her home in that
community last Saturday, September 18, 1926.
Mrs. Lowery was a good mother of the pioneer type
who knew how to meet hardship and privation, overcome obstacles, and make
a home with little building material at hand.
Such as she made Hunt County more desirable as a
home for the citizens of today.
She served her day and generation well and passes
to her reward at a ripe old age.
Mrs. Lowery is survived by four children as follows:
Claud Lowery, White Rock; Mrs. Dave Gaston, Kingston; Mrs. Bumpas, Wolfe
City; Mrs. Earl Swinson, Floydada. (Thursday, September 23, 1926,
The Greenville Messenger)
