Wilbur T. Hopewell
Wilbur T. Hopewell, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Hopewell of the Kingston and White Rock communities died Sunday after a short illness with influenza.
Wilbur was the oldest child of Mr. and Mr. Hopewell and was born and reared at the home where he died and educated in the public school there until recently when he came to the high school here for better facilities than were offered in his home school.
He was very popular with his school associates both at home and here and his death came as a shock to his friends and associates as well as to the family who justly felt great pride in this splendid youth.
W. F. Hopewell has lived where he now resides since he himself was a youth and through all the years has made a splendid citizen and the family have innumerable friends who sympathize with them in their great sorrow.
Burial was had Monday in the Hogeye Cemetery (Celeste), north of the Hopewell home, attended by scores of sorrowing friends.
