Funeral services for William Donley "Donny" Allen III, 5, of Celeste, were at 2:30 PM, Monday, June 8, 1987, at the First Baptist Church of Celeste, with the Rev. Mark Edworthy and Dr. Bobby Renfro officiating. Burial was in Grove Hill Cemetery in Leonard.
He died on Friday, June 5, 1987, at Children's Medical Center in Dallas.
Donny was born on January 12, 1982, in Greenville to William Donley and Brenda Burnett Allen. He attended the First Baptist Church of Celeste.
Survivors include his parents, Dale Chennault and Brenda Chennault of Celeste; his father, William D. Allen, Jr., of New Hampshire; one sister, Brenna Charisse Chennault of Celeste; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. N. A. Burnett of Celeste and Lou Allen and Don Allen of Greenville.
Pallbearers were Ben McCorstin, Billy Don Causey, Jerry Chennault, and Monty Stanley.
Taylor Funeral Home of Leonard was in charge of arrangements.
